Former Salusbury pupil Jake, now a QPCS student, joined the Mbollet-Ba exchange trip in Year 8 with his Mum. Jake volunteered in school classes on literacy and sport projects, making many friends. Mum is a professional gardener and she worked with village horticulturalists on ways of enriching soil and increasing yield from their vegetable crops.
Our Global School organises a yearly educational exchange visit to Mbollet-Ba School.
The trip is timed to take place mostly over the February half term holidays. Read about the 2018 trip here
Anyone is welcome up to a maximum of around 30 visitors. The experience works for families, young people and teachers interested in volunteering in schools or development, and experiencing rural life in sub-Saharan Africa.
The visit is designed principally for members of school communities, particularly the OGS founder schools Salusbury Primary and Queens Park Community School. These communities get preference if we are oversubscribed.
